Collaborative Capital to Clean Skin
Bitesize Capital Announces Investment in Karité

Bitesize Capital makes private markets more accessible by lowering the barriers to investment while expanding access to capital for under represented investors.

Karité is an award-winning body care brand founded by 3 sisters, one of whom is board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Naana Boakye. Karité sustainably sources its hero ingredient from women farmers in Ghana. The body care line is differentiated not only by its family origin story, but also its science-backed formulations, which are clinically proven to alleviate dry skin for all skin types and skin tones. Karité currently distributes its products direct-to-consumer on its brand website as well as across 50+ retailers, hotels and spas in North America.

Bitesize Capital structured a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to pool investments for Karité’s Friends and Family funding round. The investment was structured as a three-year convertible note, giving Karité’s the financial flexibility to grow into new distribution channels and invest in product development.
